Art Lab: Art Lab encourages kids to be fearless in seeking and nurturing their creativity. The activities in this class will be adaptable to learners of all levels and are highly creative and challenging while balancing the artistic process with the potential for a meaningful product. Fine art projects are set into weekly lessons, beginning with drawing and moving through painting and printmaking. We will then work our way to paper collage and mixed media. Each lesson features and relates to the work and style of a contemporary artist. Each week students will need to bring a large shirt/smock that they can wear over their clothes. They will need to provide a clean, plain white t-shirt during the semester that will be used for silk-screening.
