Study Hall: This class time will be perfect for those who need to work on their school work whether it is online, dual enrollment, or text book work. This class is NOT a free period – students are expected to bring school work to stay busy the entire period. Phones will not be allowed, any electronic usage will be monitored to be scholastic in nature. Classroom will have wi-fi capabilities.

Marketing 102:Homeschoolers are uniquely qualified to be leaders in the business world! Whether it's marketing their own business or marketing their capabilities in the college and job market, this class is designed for 9th-12 graders who are self starters, leadership motivated and have that “think outside the box” mindset. Your student will learn the basics of marketing and entrepreneurship and put their new skills to the test in a micro business created by them. This class will include sitting with community business leaders, learning presentation & interview skills, shadowing a local business leader, performing mock interviews and if time allows, a “Shark Tank” presentation to pitch their service business, a not for profit and/or micro business. This is a class that can be counted for credit and your student will have outside work. Although the work will be fun and exciting (I think they will LOVE it!), please consider if they have the time to complete the assignments

Health I:THIS IS A “FOR CREDIT” CLASS! In order to receive the ½ credit needed for GA HS requirements, all required work must be satisfactorily completed. Textbooks will be LifePac series from www.aop.com High School Health Set Units 1-5 (EL9701-9705, approx $40 or less) and must be purchased separately before the start of class. First assignment will be given after registration and will be due the first day of class. Class will consist of reinforcement and deeper discussion of content learned in the unit studies, discussion and review of worksheet answers, and games and reviews for the test. Tests will be assigned and graded. (Unit books may be purchased from any website that offers them as long as they are unused and blanks are not completed).

Foundations of Creative Writing: This fun writing course focuses on the following topics: Definition and identification of types of creative writing (fiction, non-fiction, poetry, short stories), identification and explanation of parts of a plot, identification and explanation of writing techniques in short stories and poetry (mood, tone, rhyme, theme, characterization), and definition and practice of free writing. First assignment is due the first day of class: Choose one of your favorite memories from your summer and write a 100 word short story about it as though you were an observer. This could be written in the voice of a parent, sibling, or a completely objective third party. Be creative!!

Art Lab II: Meet the Artist! Learn about great artists from the Renaissance, Boroque, Romantic, Impressionist, Expressionist, and Modern Art eras. Each week meet a new artist with a small biograpy highlighting the artist's life and works. Then complete a fun art study lesson recreating your own version of the artist' work. Get ready to paint, draw, sculpt, photograph, and create! FULL!

PE: PE class will be a combination of fitness & games. About half of the class will be exercises, increasing endurance and fitness routine, and the other half of the class will be playing typical PE style games – following the rules. Students will be required to wear athletic shoes each week, and will be required to participate in ALL aspects of the class.

Anatomy & Physiology: We will discuss and have occasional interactive activities about the systems of our bodies and the wonderful way in which God created us and how our systems work together to define our health. All body systems will be discussed including the reproductive system.

Public Speaking: We will be preparing and giving presentations, evaluating speeches, and experiencing impromptu communication. Everyone will have a speech workbook to complete as we conquer any fears of speaking and prepare for college or the work force. There is a possibility of a field trip. All students are expected to participate fully in class and assignments.
